Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mommies, Grandmas and Great-Grandmas out there!
We had a busy day today, starting with brunch at my parents’ house and then an early dinner at Derek’s parents’ house. We had lots of delicious food and great fun with our Moms. This morning, my Mom got a HUGE surprise. See for yourself in this video!

Mom was really happy for the new family addition – she had been wanting a Golden Retriever badly over the last few years! We left my parents’ house and stopped at home for an hour to put the baby down for a nap and then headed out to Derek’s parents’ house for an early dinner. Janna and Anneke were in town for Marika’s bachelorette party, but were unfortunately leaving early because Janna has to work on Monday… We also had the pleasure of spending the evening with Jaap and Tineke, relatives of Tina from the Netherlands, in the US for Marika’s wedding. They arrived early so that they could visit Arizona and other parts of California. It was wonderful to spend time with them and we look forward to seeing them again in a couple of weeks for Marika and Will’s wedding!
