My mom gave us one of the toys from her house on wednesday and Adelaide has been thrilled to have it around the house. It is this table with Leapfrog instruments on top that, of course, play music! The fun part for her is that she walks around it, again and again. Yesterday, I put it closer to the coffee table and she spent close to an hour walking around the toy, then around the coffee table, making a big figure 8 circuit. At one point, I turned on the television and cartoons were on. Well…forget the toy! She stood there and stared at the TV, looking away only to smile at me, proud of her new discovery. It was really cute!

Afternoon at the Park

We went to the park this afternoon to play and enjoy the fabulous weather – it has been in the high 80s with a soft breeze blowin gjust enough so that you are not too hot. There were a ton of ladybugs and we had fun putting them on Addie! She seemed fascinated by them and would reach out to them – luckly she steered clear of her usual hand-in-mouth behavior! She seemed quite interested in the other children on the playground, waving at them and yelling, as if to say “let me play with you!”
