Little Lady

We had brunch with my family today because my grandma Claire was in town. We decided that this would be as good an occasion as any for Addie to dress up. We put her in a dress Claire had knit for her, along with a little cardigan, tights and shoes – even though Addie has several pairs, this was only the second or third time she had them on, because let’s face it, they are not necessary and they often fall off. I of course, took many pictures of our little lady because she looked so adorable!

Since she has not had shoes on very often, she was fascinated by them. She of course examined them orally, as she does everything lately!

We had a relaxing, but productive day. I spent a lot of time in Adelaide’s room, boxing up the clothes that don’t fit her anymore, changing her sheets and trying to get her room in some sort of order since we have returned from our trip back east. Adelaide was great – she hung out in her crib and played with her stuffed animals.

As she played in her crib, she got closer and realized it might be fun to stand by pulling herself on the gate. She had fun trying and Bella got in there to give her some “help.”

Sophia and Adelaide

We drove down to Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday because Marika was having a dress fitting and we thought it would be fun for Derek and Addie to stay with James and Sophia – sort of a Daddy – daughter afternoon. The girls had a good time together, as did the ladies during the dress fitting, and the guys who later went to a Wings & Rings restaurant. Last time Addie and Sophia were together, Adelaide was not really grabbing or touching others much, but Sophia had already reached the step in development. This time, however, it was a level playing field and Sophia was not used to having someone tug at her clothes and touch her face!
