Watch out New York, we’re here!! It was a tough ride getting there, with the 3 hour delay out of Burbank and the almost 3 hour delay in Dallas, but we made it. We got to our hotel at 3am instead of 11:30pm, and our brains were so fried by that point that we did very silly things. Silly things like the following: I left Gen in the elevator with all the luggage when we got off on the 10th floor and she ended up on the 1st floor because someone else had called it by then; I put Addie in the middle of the bed when we got in the room and then Gen and I BOTH proceeded to go into the hallway to get our luggage WITHOUT our room key (which led to Gen running like hell downstairs to get an extra key). By the way, Addie was fine so no need to call child services on me… Adelaide was amazing with all the waiting and the slightly turbulent flights. Here’s what she looked like:

Addie also had a good time playing with her stroller while we waited.

I had my interview this morning which came incredibly fast after only 2 hours of sleep (Addie had gas and could not sleep). I really liked the staff and the hospital was great. The many rotations are really appealing since my work would be really diverse. After the interview, I got to the hotel, we packed up Adelaide all bundled up and headed into New York City for dinner and some walking around. It actually started snowing as we walked to the Empire State Building, it was really neat!

We are getting picked up by Klaas and Ada tomorrow before lunch and I look forward to spending time at a house with family. More updates to come soon!

love,

Julie
